Only being able to control devices from a mobile phone, and only one running specific OSs with specific app stores, is a silly restriction that hampers the utility of the product. 

It would be far better if you escaped the jailbreak of mobile OS and app stores and made the product universal with a Web Application that runs on a browser. That would therefore work on any device (laptop, computer, whatever) with any flavor OS (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, not-yet-invented-OS, etc.) and would ensure that the service is future proof.

I would definitely buy more devices immediately if I could access them from my work PC or a cheap throwaway HarmonyOS phone.
