  @Riley_Blue You're correct - smart button is not supported as starter/trigger (wouldn't be nice if it did?).   So I have added a P100 to the hub which I am using as the trigger source (and not even plugging anything in to it which is a bit of a waste)

IE  smart button ->  hub  ->  P100 switch ->  Google starter/trigger

Yes that's definitely a great idea. However it's unlikely other brands can achieve it bypassing Google if Google doesn't support it in the first place. Perhaps others can achieve this through more technical means (API things?), but that will be difficult for me... Why don't you check on google community or reddit to see if anyone has the idea to trigger google routines by a button?
