Model: Tapo C420S2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.14

I have my night mode set to black and white which should use IR. When the camera is set to auto it often does not turn from day mode to night mode which results in a very dark image. I can enable night mode manually and the IR does come on. Is this fixed with the software update? One if my cameras is fine and has the latest software. Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply. After restarting, checking multiple settings I finally had chance to clean the front of the camera, specifically around the light sensor. I also changed the angle slightly to ensure no additional light could be hitting the sensor. (Pretty sure this was not the case). Anyway, It has now started switching to night mode when set to auto so all is now ok. Thanks again.

Hi,
The problem may be related to the actual usage scenario, can you share a picture of the camera's Live View page showing that the camera should switch to the Night mode but it does not when working in the Auto mode?
Best Regards
