I am having some serious problems with my Tapo C402 recordings.

The camera gives alarms and detection messages perfectly, but it is not providing the recordings, which is the most important part!

All the supposed solutions DO NOT WORK and do not help to solve any recording problems!

Saying that you have to reset the camera and remove the SD card and then put it back in is NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM! angry

There is definitely something wrong with the software/firmware that has not been fixed, because in my case I have changed the SD card (128 GB) twice and it still has the same problem: it starts recording and then stops after a while!

I insist, recording is the most important part of having a camera!

Hi,
For the reported phenomenon, please confirm the following information for further analysis.


  1. On the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, please ensure the Local Recording option is enabled, and check if the Recording Schedule page is showing a whole yellow page.

 

  2. When there are events detected but no video recorded on the SD card, please send us a screenshot of the Storage & Recording > Local Storage page.
  
  3. What are the model numbers of the SD cards that have been inserted into the camera?

 

  4. Are you watching the video recordings on the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback > SD card page? If so, are there no new detection video clips recorded, or are there new detection video clips, but you can't watch them?
