If I am out of wifi range, can I control my tp-link over the cellphone network? Or do I have to logon to the web and do it somehow?

I'm new here. Just got my first tp-link device connected to my wifi network, and can turn a light on/off with my android app. But can't figure out how to turn the light on/off when I am away from home.

Thanks...

You have to setup the device to allow access when you are away from home. Do this next time you're at home and connected to your Wifi:
1) Start Kasa from your phone
2) Touch the device that you want to control from outside the house
3) Touch the Settings icon (looks like a gear)
4) The first item you will see is "Remote Control". Touch that to enable (it should turn green)
5) Repeat 2-4 for any items you want to control remotely
You're done. Good luck
