Red LED display on router where Powerline adaptor is plugged into

My internet is working however, but Netgear AC1750 R6400 router shows a constant red LED where it's plugged into my new Powerline adaptor.
I've tried rebooting both router, and modem and have switched ethernet cables going into router from adaptor but, to no avail. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
