This switch has a lot of potential. It would be really nice to also be able to use it as a trigger for both IFTTT and Stringify so that it could perform another action or control multiple smart outlets.

 

If I were able to do that, I have a use for many more of them.

The developres for the smart products have talked about having Kasa being a trigger for IFTTT. I can say it is on the radar, but as far as timeframe, we have not received any sort of information on that.

Doesn't Kasa's new "Smart Actions" already turn a Kasa switch (e.g. HS200) into a Trigger?

I would love to see IFTTT triggers for the HS220/HS200 switches also, that would also include triggers for double taps and long presses.
