I used the app on my iPhone for setup and only see 2.4G. My router is dual band. How can I get 5G?
The TL-WA855RE only has a 2.4GHz antenna, so it will only extend 2.4GHz wireless networks.
In your case you want to use the RE220 which is able to extend a 2.4GHz network and a 5GHz network.
