Model: Archer C20
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 4.16 v0001.0 Build 181213 Rel.33336n(5553)

I am unable to use my Canon iR1024 network printer since I installed a AC750 Wireless Dual Band Router to connect to the new broadband fibre WAN.

Before that change I was able to print though the previous router (a Huawei B315s), but that had to change that because it did not support the new fibre connection.

My PC & printer still use a Powerline Ethernet network and my smart phone & laptop connected to the printer though the old Huawei router's Wi-Fi port.

Did factory reset the printer. I do not have the option to connect the printer to the router by USB or Wi-Fi.

Note: All this came about after I changed to the new AC750 router.

@Tony

Hi Tony

Thank you for your suggestion, you were right!

After the change, the printer’s IP address became unknown because it was outside the new router’s DHCP range.

Somehow the Auto IP function didn't seem to work, so I created a new address for the printer within the routers DHCP scope and it is now cooperating.

Cheers

Danny

@NZ_danny

Your printer may be using an IP scheme different then what the new router uses. Make sure the printer is set up to automatically get an IP from the new router.
