I need to connect an extender to a mesh wifi system in order to use the extender to connect (Ethernet cable) to a security camera DVR for wired cameras.
What you can do is to have the extender scan for the wireless networks, and pick the node that is closest by referencing the MAC address. That way you pick the closest node. The MAC addresses should be printed on the sticker label of each node.
