HI there,

 

I have a WPA8630-KIT V1 set worked well previously.  After my attempt to set parental control for one device (via Web UI), it got no response.  Unplugged the WPA8630 is not helpful, and now I even found that all 3 side-buttons (WIFI, Pair, LED) are not response and the reset hole neither.  And I cannot find it's IP (both WPA8630 and PA8010P) from my router Deco M9+.

 

I installed the tpPLC Windows app.  It can detect the device WPA8630 and its paired PA8010.  However, both "Basic\Reset" and "Basic\LED" functions will return me failed.  Any solution can bring the WPA8630 back to normal?  Much appreciated

The 8010 will not get an IP only the 8630.

 

Put the 8630 in the same room of the 8010, and see if the powerline light is green. If the LED light is off re-pair both. If that works log into the router to see if the 8630 gets an IP. If it does, use a web browser to try to connect to it. If that fails, download the tpPLC app on your smartphone, connect to the Wi-Fi, and try to use that.

@Tony - I have tried both way.  WPA8630 is not seen, while it has paired with PA8010P.

  1. connect PA8010P (3 LED on) to router, and WPA8630 (5 LED on) to my PC.  My PC can go online.  Check my router but not see WPA8630.

  2. observe WPA8630 connect to router and PA8010P connect to my PC.  Same result that PC can go online.  Router did not see WPA8630.

 

All 3 side buttons on WPA8630 are not work so I cannot do re-pairing.  I have also tried iPhone connect to WPA8630.  tpPLC app (v1.3.5) found no device.

It sounds like the powerline adapter is not responding to anything so I would then recommend reaching out to our support team.

Thanks Tony. It has passed 2yr so I guess the warrant may have expired. So sad~. :-(
