Hello,

sorry for reposting, the other forum was incorrect.

I cannot forward port 80 from WAN to LAN.

I have changed the local management port to 8080 and the remote management is disabled.

I don't have port triggering set up, only virtual servers.

Other ports work fine, only 80 does not. My ISP does not block any ports.

The service that is listening on the LAN is working correctly and is accessible from the LAN.

When I turn on the remote management on port 80, I get HTTP 403.

How could I resolve this ?

Thank you!

@John_Scott

A traceroute has revealed that the problem was with my ISP.

Thanks.

@John_Scott

If you are trying to set up remote management via Advanced > System Tools > Administration, try changing the pot 80 to some different numbers like 4000. So when trying to access it remotely you would use 1.1.1.1:4000

Try also enabling https, and accessing it using https://1.1.1.1

(the 1.1.1.1 would be your actual public IP address)

When trying to access the router remotely, you can not be on the same network as the TP-Link router. So you can either use your cell phone and turn off Wi-Fi or be on a completely different network.

If none of that works, the next recommendation would be to bind your router to a TP-Link ID so you can then create a DDNS address and manage it that way:

Bind ID: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1733/

Create DDNS: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2269/

Hi @Tony,

thanks for your reply.

Not really. I would like to redirect traffic on port 80 to an addres in my LAN.

I have changed the local management port to 8080 but the port 80 still cannot be forwarded through Virtual Servers.

The whole remote management thing was just a test. I could not make it work though. I changed the port on the remote management as well, but still no luck from an outside network. I get HTTP 403. This is beside the point though, my goal is to be able to redirect traffic from my public IP on port 80 to my LAN.

Thanks.
