Add Option to Enforce SafeSearch Mode in Parental Controls
There has been a dilemma going on in my home. The parental controls of my AX6000 router has the ability to block websites but not to enforce SafeSearch Mode. None of the modes, (Child, Pre-teen, Teen, Adult) have this option working. When a child goes to Google search, they could still search SafeSearch mode off and they would still see explicit material. Same applies with Bing, Yahoo, and every site where there's SafeSearch as an option. This system is not really protecting households from explicit materials as best as it sholud be.
This has forced me to block Google and Bing as a whole service. In other words, blocking Google = blocking GMail (mail.google.com), Google Accounts (accounts.google.com)[something I need to sign onto websites using Google accounts (i.e.Youtube)], Google Drive, and etc. I also had to block Bing because of Bing search, but encountered some difficulties as some websites used bing.com as a communicator or service. The people in my house need these services but yet I do not want them to exposed to encountering explicit materials with their search engine
The previous router I had NETGEAR Nighthawk R6700v3 had better parental control options with its Circle app, similar to TP-link's Tether app, but with the ability to enforce SafeSearch mode on all search websites people on the network would go to. Why can't TP-Link routers have this ability?
The Parental control system needs some serious work. Even with pornographic websites that you guys block, it's amazing how after still refreshing the webpage 20x or adding https:// in front of the website, the router eventually lets the user go to the website through. This did not happen with my previous router. I know you announced that you fixed that bug, but its still does not work for some pornographic sites.
Please up your game with Parental Controls!!
