Hi!  I'm a new FIOS customer and would like to extend the wifi signal from the verizon router throughout my cinderblock home.

Will the RE300 work with this FIOS G3100 WiFi 6 Mesh Router?

Is there a method for determining how many RE300 units to buy for best coverage?

Many thanks!

@TFX

The RE300 has OneMesh capabilities, but it requires a TP-Link OneMesh router. In your case, if you set up the RE300 with the Verizon device it will work as a typical range extender.

As far as range, every environment is different, but you can use your cell phone to see how many bars you get from the extender as you the extender to different outlets to test signal strength.

An alternative to using an extender would be to use a powerline adapter like the TL-WPA-8630KIT or TL-WPA8631PKIT where the signal is sent through the electrical wiring.

OK, thanks. With the TL-WPA-8630, it will not be possible to have the units on the same circuit breaker, though they will be part of my home's single circuit panel. Will this work?
