The users guide provides very clear instrucitons for setting up email functionality via SMTP for resetting lost passwords and for emailing copies of logs.  As the community thread above explains, the SMTP server required from the user cannot be encrypted and must utilize port 25.  You do not mention this in the product documentation.  As the forum thread reflects:  there are no SMTP services available from any major email provider that meets this requirement.  It is an absurd suggestion. 

 

 

As your own staff pointed out in the thread above, neither of the configuration options is essential and the results can be produced by other means.  But you continue to sell a product with these configuration options encouraged with plain english instructions that clearly don't wok.  I'm seriously considering returning the router and buying another from a different company. 

 

Please either fix these features or remove them and any reference in the user manual to configuration of them.
