Future Consideration Option to hide IoT Network

Request to add the Hidden option to the new IoT network.
The latest firmware update provided the ability to add a specific IoT network. However, no option to hide this network. With IoT devices to be the most volunerable to hacking, I think this is an oversight.

TP Link! Why would you provide the ability to hide every SSID except the one that makes the most sense to hide? Please prioritize this. It's low hanging fruit.

@Riley_S my Iot devices support hidden networks. Alot of them you can make work with hidden networks. We did this at my company. I know this request is several years old however with the amount of replies to the request I feel that is should be an option. As an administrator I feel this should be an option for customers to have.

2 years and this still isn't done?
I'm switching from a router that I configured to add these devices. I've had my lights on a hidden 2.4g network since 2018. I'm sure adding a toggle to hide the network shouldn't be software breaking.
Plus if you really want to add new stuff without the hassle... Just toggle it on, add new devices, then toggle it off...

@Fujikaku toggling it on adding devices and toggling it off doesn't work.
Because the devices have to know they have to specifically search for that particular SSID a special way, which means when you add it and It's not broadcasting, they don't do that.
This range is either from a checkbox that says, Connect to this network even if not broadcasting, or something similar, which if you are adding it as a hidden SSID is automatically checked or set.
Which also leads to hiding an SSID is not a security feature at all, because essentially what you're doing is telling the device to shout out this SSID name in the clear constantly, no matter where in the world it is.

Please add the feature to hide the SSID for iot. I am using a seperate (different brand) router for iot devices so that I could hide the SSID and its on its own network. I recently switched over to TPlink as I have cameras for home and done away with my Unifi system (more professional network) due to needing simplicity so my family can re-configure it with ease. Unifi firmware updates just breaks my connections and sometimes I am away from home to re-configure, thus switching to tplink system.
Please release a firmware update for this. As well as a way to create multiple different SSID if possible. Also option to hide guest network SSID.

Love this idea. For those that have issues with IoT devices finding a hidden network on provisioning it can be turned back on by the home user.
Great idea!! #UPVOTE
