Was there any clicking sound? Was the power supply to the back-end equipment stable at that time?
It is possible that the plug was disconnected from the router and searching for WiFi.
If it happens again, please check whether you can control the plug remotely (Use Mobile data). Check the client list of the router to see if the EP40 is still connected to the router.
