I am trying to improve the Wi-Fi in a Metsl boathouse. The club has Wi-Fi but it degrades within the metal building. Can I do the following:

install an AX3000 on the outside of the building in a Wi-Fi weather proof box. this would connect to the outside public Wi-Fi. Then run cat 5 to within the boathouse and connect an AX1500 or 750. Then I could have Wi-Fi within the metal boathouse.

  @Sigdoc,

Connecting a Router to another Router via a wireless connection requires a specific operation mode(Client Mode) which is not available on those models and is really only seen on Travel rotuers. This setup will not work in AP mode or Router Mode - and isn't really recommended due to stability issues.

I think you may be better off looking at a Mesh solution that is meant to communicate wirelessly or looking at systems such as CPEs that will provide a better connection.
