I'm beyond frustrated that I have to create an account just to download an app to set an extender to access point mode. What a trap! Forcing people to download apps and scan QR codes to manage network security is ridiculous. I can't stand the IT industry anymore—it's all about marketing and sales. Companies deliberately make their products not work out of the box unless you sign up, subscribe, or download something. It's like they're forcing people to compromise their security by tracking locations and discouraging the use of VPNs, just so big tech can monitor everything we do. It’s a joke, and something needs to change. Whatever happened to simply accessing a device via a LAN cable? Now we have to unlock basic features by downloading insecure apps from untrustworthy sources and connecting over Wi-Fi, just to configure it through a LAN. It’s a complete security nightmare.
