Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Can't access

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my extender that I've had for a number of years, so I don't know what firmware I have.  I'm trying to do a factory reset but I can't log in to my old login because I don't know what it is.

I've been trying to do the factory reset so that I can log in with it.

I have a new ID and password now.

The model is noted above.

Version 2.0

S/N 2165285002019

Defaul SSID:  TP-LINK_Extender_A43DC0

I have followed the instructions, but I don't have the old username and password, so I basically dead on arrival.

I tried inserting the pin into the hole noted as factory reset, but I'm still not able to do this.  Is it possible for someone to call me and walk me through this?

I was able to connect it to my router and then connect my phone to it.  However, I would like to be able to connect a "door" lock sensor as the lock seems to disconnect from wifi regularly.  I thought the extender would help.

I had initially got this extender to use with my Ring doorbell, but the Ring kept failing.

Please help!  Thank you!

@MamaChin With it plugged in, press the reset button until the power resets on it.  Should be at Factory Default after that.
