Tapo C220 Does Not Detect "abnormal hard Noises"
Actually my issue is with the C220 camera but it is not available in the Model drop down box above.
My Tapo C220 does not detect an Ademco alarm system 100dB siren located in close proximity to the C220. My next door neighbor can hear it. Anyone would classify a 100dB siren as an abnormal hard noise.
Please review the C220 "Overview" at this link: https://www.tapo.com/us/product/smart-camera/tapo-c220/
Tapo claims this camera will detect abnormal hard noises. I have everything set up correctly. It does detect baby crying, glass breaking, dog barking although the dog barking detection is inconsistent. I have sensitivity to all 4 noise types set to max.
My primary reason for spending extra money on the C220 was the claim that it can detect abnormal hard noises. I am inclined to return the C220 and save money on the C120.
It appears that Tapo has made a false claim that the C220 detects 'abnormal hard noises'.
In reality the C220 only detects a baby crying, glass breaking and some dogs barking, but not all dog barks. I doubt it will detect a cat meow if it does not detect a 100dB siren.
