How can I create a smart action that when the door sensor triggers the camera will start recording and stop it in a minute? I got everything done except there does not appear to be a smart action for the camera to start or stop recording. Is this a bug or is there work around? It seems like a very obvious thing to start or stop recording for a camera.
I'm afraid this is not supported. Start recording is not an available action option for the camera in the automation.
You may raise a Feature Request post for it though. The product team will review the feature requests regularly, hot topics with detailed background information (e.g. use scenarios, reasons why you want or don't want a certain feature, etc) will be prioritized for evaluation.
