Tapo H500 not recognizing new HDD
Tapo H500 not recognizing new HDD

Hello,
I just purchased a brand new Seagate Enterprise 2TB 2.5 7200RPM SATA 6Gbps 128MB Cache ST2000NX0303 drive. I placed it into the hub and it's not recognized. I placed it on my computer and it recognized it fine. I decided to format it and then place back into the H500 and it's still not recognized.
I need careful step by step instructions on how to get this to work because your H500 hub has been nothing but frustration after frustration. Please give me a solution so I can finally have some peace.
Kind regards,

I bought the H500 on Amazon too n came here cuz my drive wasn’t showin’ up n I wanted 2 check b4 returnin’ it and have been waiting to see what support comes up with in this post before returning. The hidden list’s only on the product FAQ/support pages of tapos site not on the Amazon page n most ppl just assume a brand-name thing like the H500’ll work outta the box.
Instead of actin’ smug, just say the list’s easy 2 miss n that the Amazon page don’t mention compatibility. tapo should tell ppl up front: check the supported-drive list it ain’t obvious that one even exists from the Amazon listing. Post that and it actually helps. Mockin’ someone for not knowin’ what’s hid on the support site just makes u look like a sad little jerk. 💩
Thank you for the feedback about the product information displayed on the sales page. I'll certainly forward it to our relevant department.
