Model: Tapo C402 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I’m experiencing an issue with my Tapo C402 camera. When connected to a power source, the camera works perfectly. However, as soon as I disconnect it from the power supply, it shuts off immediately — as if the battery is completely drained.

Interestingly, when the camera is plugged in, it shows 100% battery charge. I’ve already tried resetting both the network and the camera itself, but the issue persists.

Could you please advise on what might be causing this and how to resolve it?

Don't forget to turn on the camera: press the power button for 3s to turn on OR off the camera.

Make sure you're using a 5V 1A charger. Camera's led should blink amber quickly for 3 seconds when the usb charger is plugged. Leave it charged overnight or a whole day, then check if the same thing still occurs. If it does, it is likely a battery hardware issue. You may contact the local TP-Link support to proceed with device warranty.
