Hello, I am considering purchasing these to be able to periodically reboot my internet router. I see the they support schedules, but will the schedules run without having inernet access? Would be pretty dumb if not, but i see people online reporting that they won't.....
The schedule feature continues to run without internet, and even when the WiFi connection is lost. You can use this to restart your router by creating two schedules: one to turn the plug off, and another to turn it back on 1–2 minutes later.
One thing to keep in mind: if the plug gets unplugged or loses power, it needs to reconnect to the internet to get the correct time again, or else schedules won’t run on time. Also, if the plug stays on a local network without internet for a long time, its clock might slowly get out of sync, which could delay your schedules.
