Model: General Product
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.7

I have multiple C645D cameras purchased at the same time from Tapo directly.

Most cameras updated to firmware 1.1.8, but one camera updated to v1.1.7 and will not detect the newer 1.1.8 for update.

I believe this is the cause of some of the issues I am having with this one camera.

Factory reset and the recommended solutions did not resolve the firmware issue.

Issues trying to be resolved with latest firmware 1.1.8:

   Weak connection to Wifi (this camera sits within 1 ft of another camera that has a solid wifi connection).

   Cannot change a few configuration settings.

Ideas?

  @SonnyMN

Hello,

Welcome to TP-Link community.

Tapo devices receive firmware updates in phases, so not all units are updated simultaneously—even if they share the same model and hardware version. Please allow a few weeks for the rollout to complete.

For more details, please visit: What can I do if Tapo/Kasa Smart Devices fail to update the firmware?

Meanwhile, about the weak wifi connection, please refer to this FAQ: How to Check and Fix an Unstable Tapo or Kasa Network Connection

If the problem persists, contact our customer service team and provide the results of the above troubleshooting steps.

Best Regards,
