What is the status of the web app / browser setup ability?
Just purchased several bulbs and plugs to work with new echo dots and realized that you have to have an iOS or android device and need Kasa app.
Deceiving in that it says it works with alexa no hub required. So one would think, they work together without the need for anything else.

Compare with other device, for example Philips HUE, it needs a HUB to control LB, APP is needed also. LB just needs a APP to control.

Thanks for the reply!

I had purchased everything as a gift for a family member who still has a flip phone. I ended up buying a low end android tablet to do the setup and left the tablet at his house in case he wants to add more devices in the future.

So fed up with this... Taking back 12 light bulbs and 2 plugs.... How can you not have a windows app to run this software?

I agree!! a windows app, mac app, and web based are needed.

Awesome, this worked great! I was sitting on my balcony with a fan hooked up to a TP-Link wall plug 2 meters away. Phone was on charge in another room. Found this webapp and could turn off the fan so I didnt have to get up. ;-) Lazyness 2.0

@doctor-dapper This is great, and indeed all network traffic goes to tplinkcloud.com which it does in the app too.
