Archer C2 doesn't recognize dynamic IP
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I live in an appartment building which has its own DHCP server set up giving out IP adresses to all the rooms.
The first time I used the quick setup for my archer to act as a router for my own network and everything went well for about 2 months.
Now it the quick setup throws an error and when I try to detect the connection type it states: static IP.
Yet when I connect windows directly to the internet cable from my appartment it shows this information:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-LM
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 6C-C2-17-EC-13-FC
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::f9a6:b1fb:375d:a863%9(Preferred)
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.9.12.31(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.254.0
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : woensdag 5 juli 2017 19:04:07
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : woensdag 5 juli 2017 23:14:06
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.9.12.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.9.12.1
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 57459223
DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-20-2D-50-72-6C-C2-17-EC-13-FC
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 8.8.8.8
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled
And when I fill this in into the static IP options of the router it works again, untill the lease expires after about a day.
Does anyone have any idea how I could fix the issue? I'd rather not have to manually reenter my ip adress every day for my wifi to work.
