Logging Into Your Gateway / Modem

The web-based management page is a built-in internal web server that does not require internet access. It does however require your device to be connected to the TP-Link router. This connection can be wired or wireless.

Note: A old version of your web browser may cause compatibility problems with the web-based interface (management page) of your device, such as unable to log into the interface, display incomplete features etc.

Follow the steps below:

Note: Archer CR700 is used for demonstration in this article.

Step 1

Connect your computer’s Ethernet port to one of the LAN ports on Archer CR700 via an Ethernet cable or use the default SSID (Wireless Network Name) and Wireless Password printed on the product label of the router to connect wirelessly.

Step 2

Launch a web browser and type in http://tplinkmodem.net or http://192.168.1.1 in the address field of the browser.

Step 3

After a moment, a login window will appear. Enter admin for the Username and Password, both in lower case letters. Then click the Login button or press the Enter key.

After your successful login, you will see the screen as shown below.

Can't connect to WiFi

I have an ER605 with firmware version 2.4.3 with IP address 192.168.0.1

My cable modem is an Arris S33

My LAN is 192.168.0.x

I want to log onto my modem's webpage at 192.168.100.1 from my PC connected to my LAN

I created a static route:

Dest. IP: 192.168.100.0

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Next Hop: 98.25.210.143 (I got this from https://www.whatismyip.com/)

Interface: WAN1 (only choice other than LAN)

This route does not allow me to access the cable modem. I also tried a Dest. IP of 192.168.100.1 with Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255 - It didn't work either. What am I doing wrong?
