AC2300 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Router - A2300 Firmware

I have the A2300 Model from Walmart and the firmware is ArcherA2300(US)_V1_170210.
The C2300 has a newer firmware dated 9-17-2017.
Any plans to update the firmware for the A2300?
Would it be safe to Flash the A2300 with the C2300 firmware?

Archer C2300 v1.0 Firmware

I have a Archer C2300 v1.0 USA and the latest firmware was 2.0.0 Build 20170922 Rel. 32364. Going on ten months with no update. I would like to see HTTPS login and SmartPhone App support long passwords (I use at least 26 characters).
