Archer C5400: Led Controller | ERROR | Config importing failed
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Firmware: 1.2.2 Build 20170912 rel.56240(5553)
Hardware: ArcherC5400 v2.0
In the system logs, it's flooded with the following error Config importing Failed. Can someone explain to me what this even means? What config is failing? -- I searched the googlags, however found nothing. What is odd, if i factory reset, I get this log from when I didn't even own the router ...
An extra bit of context: I'm having an issue where my 2.4GHz signal lands on channel 64 and my 5Ghz band-1 doesn't broadcast w/ a N/A port. And it displays the message of 5Ghz is not supported in your region (WA-USA ... which 5GHz is allowed). I'm wondering if the two are related -- the errors on import and the non-function tri-band...
Support told me to RMA this unit which feels wrong, I highly suspect this is a firmware issue ...

Did the feature ever work for you? Are you on the latest firmware? Are you trying to import a config from a previous backup? If so do you know the FW version used on that back up? Can you provide screenshots of the error you are getting?
thank you

Same problem here.
I had also troubles with WI-FI connections after a long time without reboot/shutdown. There must be a memory leak.
I would be glad to get a fix/new firmware for these problems.

In my case, when I set the time manually, the error is no longer output.

Thank you for this. I will forward this to our software team and have them investigate the potential issue.

Hi everyone.
Our testing engneers have stated the issue typically happens if the wrong NTP servers are selected. Please ensure the correct one for your region has been mapped and see if the issue has been resolved. If not let me know!!!!

Hi Carl.

Thank you. but It's not so simple.
I am in Japan. I already tried the following NTP servers. but all failed.
ntp.jst.mfeed.ad.jp
ntp.nict.jp
ntp.ring.gr.jp
time.google.com
ats1.e-timing.ne.jp
Of course, I can connect to all NTP servers from my PC.
(PC is Connect to C5400)
Hardware:ArcherC5400 v2.0
Firmware:1.2.2 Build 20170912 rel.56240(4A50)
Operation Mode:Access Point
DHCP:Off
Fixed IP Address
I use two C5400, both have same problem.
I'm expecting new firmware.

FWIW, I'm experiencing similar issues. Specifically:
- 2.4GHz band drops dead randomly daily
- same LED errors in the log as others have pointed out
- lost ability to control the LED setting after making the mistake of trying out the feature. Now my LEDs are PERMANENTLY off.
For such an expensive and better-than-average home router, I would have expected more active firmware releases. Come on TP-Link, latest one is dated 2017!
