Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.10 Build 20190517 rel.65170(5553)

Hi!!  I just recently got my modem/router setup and running.  When I try to rename wired/wireless connections the page keeps refreshing and I cannot type fast enough to make the changes.  I have tried 3 different browsers (chrome, edge, firefox) and all 3 do this.  How can I fix this issue?

Thanks for any info on this!!!

Please provide a screenshot of the menu you are on, so we can see what area you are talking about.  We also need to know the hardware and frimware version of your Archer A7

Here is a screenshot of what im looking at.  The device list keeps refreshing too fast for me to TYPE in my device names.  I was able to control/paste the names in though.

Firmware version: 1.0.10 Build 20190517 rel.65170(5553)

Hardware version: Archer A7 v5.0

Sorry for the late reply.  If we aren't tagged we can sometime miss a customer's reply.  The page you are on is your network map.  That page will consistantly referesh. To make changes click on Advanced > Network > DHCP Server.  You can then make changes to device names here.

Looking at Advanced - Network - DHCP Server page I do not see a way to edit the names.  I see a Address Reservation (has a add/delete) and DHCP Client List, but no way to edit the names in that list.  Just a refresh button.

I looked into it further. Yes on the router the only place to change the names is in the address reservation section.  This is because the device name under auto DHCP is determined by the name of the device.  For instance if you rename an iPhone "My iPhone" then next time the dhcp renews the router will update the name to My iPhone.

You can try one other option.  Use the Tether App.  in this app you can click on an idvidual client device and change its name by giving it a nickname, but this will only be for view in the tether app.  The router will still see the name it receives in the DHCP handshake.
