Issue with TPLink AC2300 and Netgear GS308v3
Brand new GS308v3. RCN is my ISP. I have an Aris DG2470 modem that plugs into my TPLink AC3200, everything works fine. The second I plug the Netgear GS308v3 switch into the back of my router it breaks my WiFi and all the ports on the router. No connectivity from ports on router or switch. I can see the router's SSIDs and I can connect to them but I still don't have any internet. When the switch is plugged in the blue light above the globe icon turns off, back on once unplugged. Since the switch is unmanaged I was thinking the router maybe had a setting that was causing this?

Swap the Ethernet cable being used, even if its new.
Disconnect anything connected to the LAN ports of the router having just the cable from the modem to the blue port of the TP-Link. Disconnect any Ethernet cables to the switch so you only have one cable going from the switch to the routers any 4 LAN ports. See what the router does.
Other things you can test, is to steal the Ethernet cable from the switch and plug that into your computer. Does the routers LAN port work fine that way?

I will swap cable when I get home and report back.
I will disconnect all cables save modem to router and router to switch and then I will report back.
All 4 of my routers LAN ports provided connectivity to a multitude of devices I have checked. I do not believe it has anything to do with LAN ports on router. However, when switch is plugged into one of the LAN, the other LAN ports on router do not work, work again once switch is unplugged.

@Tony New cable didn't do anything. Tried it with all cables disconnected that didn't do anything.
I did, however, test it at my buddies place (RCN ISP, slgihtly differnt Aris modem, Netgear Nighthawk router instead of TP Link) with the cable I originally used to set up the switch at my place and it worked just fine. Has to be something with my router?!
I can get into my modem settings, not sure if below info is helpful
- DHCP is enabled on the modem (also appears to be on on router as well)
- Dynamic IP address
- uPnP is enabled
- Modem running in bridged mode
- Firewall enabled?
- Block pings enabled
- IPSec Pass Through enabled
- PPTP Pass Through enabled
- L2TP Pass Through enabled

@macking104 I did that the second I got the modem/gateway. The gateway has been in bridge since before I got the switch.
Anyhow....I did get this to work, below is what I did.
- ended up resetting router to factory settings
- reset modem and then setup router like new
- plugged just switch into router and tested WiFi (it worked)
- one by one plugged devices into router and tested everything (everything worked)
- once I plugged in the 3-port TP Link powerline adapter everything broke, this is not a WiFi extender powerline so I doubt it has its own IP but this definitely was the culprit for whatever reason because as soon as I plugged in a single port powerline adapter everything worked again

Thanks for the updated info.
You are right about the powerline adapters. The ones that are not Wi-Fi do not pull an IP, and just pass the connection.
What was the model of the Powerline adapter that caused the network issue, and the one model of the adapter that worked fine?

@Tony TP Link TL-PA8030P is the one that did not work. I have owned a TL-PA87010P that worked previously with my router and modem and works now with my new switch. The 8030 indeed broke WiFi and all internet connectivity.

Given how the TL-8030P has multiple ports does it look like a possible network loop? Or where did the Ethernet cables go from the TL-PA8030P?
