Ax1500 one mesh
Are there any plans to add one mesh to the AX1500 or AX10? Why would this not be supported in these latest routers?!?

What appears to have happened is that the fix for a recent industry bug was added to the "unreleased" firmware that was being tested for deployment this month. When they pushed the frimware out the release notes were not completed. Here is a full list of the release notes and what has been addressed in this firmware.
New Features/Enhancement: 1. Added OneMesh feature; 2. Added QoS Schedule feature; 3. Added a prompt when the negotiation rate of the WAN port is 100Mbps; 4. Added configuration items and display items on Tether APP; 5. Optimized the Parental Control feature; 6. Optimized the Client List; 7. Maximum number of clients on the single-band network increased to 128; 8. The wireless default encryption method is modified to WPA2+AES.
Bug Fixed: 1. Fixed the FragAttacks vulnerabilities; 2. Fixed some bugs that could cause the router to reboot; 3. Fixed the bug that the router incorrectly blocked Internet requests; 4. Fixed the bug of failed to save system log in AP mode; 5. Fixed the bug that TKIP encryption was not supported in 11ax only mode; 6. Fixed the bug that Web UI cannot synchronize the operation of deleting UPNP entries; 7. Fixed the bug that the client type cannot be changed on the Tether App. |

Yes but no details have be released as to when. My best guess and its just a guess but it would likely be earl Q2 of 2020. But again that is just a guess and not a gaurantee.

@Paramedicma have you heard any more on this?
I bought the AX1500 at the end of 2019 because the box even said "future proof" so I'm really annoyed that they haven't provided an update!

No we know that the update is comming but have not been give a timetable as to when it will be launched. The Best thing I can suggest is take a look at the site for updates Every Friday evening. Updates come out on Fridays and unless there is a holiday or PTO updates are publshed by the end of buisness that day. If you router is linked to a TP-Link ID then you may get a notification of an OTA update sooner.

@Carl this original question was posed over 6 months ago, and yet still no answer as to when, Frustrating and discouraging to say the least. I bought this router on the promise of One Mesh support with an Wifi6 environment. Yet here we are, check back on Fridays and maybe you will hear something.

Because that is the best answer we can give. Support doesn't get advanced notice of when new updates are being released or when a feature update will be available. Right now, the feature is planned but we cannot guarantee when or if. We are being told it will be but then we were told that with the AX50 and that plan has changed because of inherent concerns that the feature could not be made stable on that platform. With the AX1500 we haven't heard such feedback so it’s still a good chance it will be made available but as to when we simply do not know. That is why we suggest checking on Fridays when the website is updated.

@Carl If Support don't get advance notice but customers are asking, shouldn't Support ask for information on it???

We do ask and we do provide the infromation that we are able to, but release dates aren't somehting that is known. Ocassionally we will get a window like Q2 or Q3 but exact timeframes are not. Well you may be asking why not? The answer to that is simple. Release dates can change and often do. If we were to say X product or X feature was coming out on X date and it didn't that would be worst.

@Carl I apologise to also take part in the frustration but I literally spent hours figuring out compatibility and this one screenshot completely misled me into thinking the new firmware was available! Unacceptable.. and not having a resolve date makes it very bad.. upper management should make an apology and be more transparent otherwise your products will lose complete credibility.. it's a shame because your pricing and quality are up there, too bad such a small detail could have such grave consequences..
(Note the screenshot was specifically associated to the AX1500..
