Are the AX50 and AX3000 different devices?
I just bought an AX3000/AX50 and am confused as to what device I actually have. I've searched the forums for clarification, but no luck so far. However, I have seen them talked about as if they are two different routers, one called the AX50 and the other AX3000. But, the packaging mine came in says both names on the box.
When I bought it a few days ago, I was on the TP Link homepage, clicked the main banner advertising the AX3000, was taken to this amazon listing and bought it. But notice it's described as both the AX50 and AX3000, including in this picture from the Amazon description:
So what's the deal? Are there in fact two different devices called an AX50 and AX3000, respectively? Or is the proper name the "Archer AX50" and AX3000 is just a statement of the lastest mode and max throughput it supports? But if that's the case, why are two different products listed on TP-Link's website? I'm really confused. If they are different, what are the differences? I'm looking at the model comparision on the TP Link site and don't see any yet... but I feel like I need a text diff engine to comb through it...
