Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.8 Build 20200426 rel.65338(5553)

Hello,

I need a help with USB sharing via FTP.

I've connected a hard drive to router's USB port. It works fine via SMB. I can connect via FTP too, but I don't see the files. In explorer's connection logs I find this two last commands:

> port 172,18,11,218,128,49

< 500 illegal port command

All USB sharing settings are by default.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, please?

Thank you.

@GhostGh

Have you tried using FTP clients? If so, try using your web browser to see how that shows up.

In the USB Sharing screen of the AX50, hit the Scan button, uncheck the FTP sharing then Save, now check it again, and hit Save.

If you are trying to access the USB files remotely via FTP check the second FTP box and Save.

@Tony Yes, I tried to use different ftp apps (on Windows,  on Android) - same result, it doesn't work.

Uncheck/check ftp sharing - nothing changed...

In browser it asks a username and password and when I put it i see whyte page with empty list of files

No errors, no file list...

But in the same time I still can use SMB.... But this protocol is really slow 🐌...

I did it again and everything worked out now.

Thank you for the advice!
