Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)

Upgraded from the TP-Link W8980 to this C1200 but finding it impossible to get it to connect to my wifi printer (Samsung ML-2165w) that was perfect on the W8980.

When trying to connect the printer via its software to the 2ghz signal always results in Invalid Network Security.
I have checked the wifi settings from the old W8980 to the new C1200 and they are identical but does not work at all.

• Tried with wifi security off

• All modes b/g/n, g/n & n only

• Different widths and channels

• All transmit power, which none of the above worked

The wifi guest network feature did actually work finally but once you try to print again if it been powered off the wifi cannot be located and have to go through the whole setup every time.

@SteR

While leaving the C1200 in b/g/n have you tried adding the printer with the WPS method?

@Tony Yeah tried that as well but still won't connect to this router, just so odd. While my older one even with exact same settings worked perfect first time.
