Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1030.27.425.2018

The adapter keeps disconnecting from the 5ghz network. I've tried uninstalling and updating the drivers in the drivers from TP-LINK but it will keep randomly dropping the 5ghz connection. The 2.4 ghz maintains a stable connection.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

@David.T

Is the network you are connecting to named the same for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz?

One thing to note is that the 5GHz will not travel as far out compared to the 2.4GHz. Place the T4U close to the router to see if distance is causing the 5GHz to go out.
