Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5

Hi,

I wanted to extend my house LAN to the outside terrace and adjacent garage. I have mounted the EAP225 and wired it directly into my switch in the basement. It comes up as it's own descreet network. WHAT I want to do is have it be part of the existing house LAN, not standalone. I have researcehed this and am totally out of my depth here. If anyone has clear step by step instructions for a non technical person I would sincerely appreciate them.

Thanks

@Rob.73-_03

The EAP is part of your LAN already it just has a different wireless network name and password. So when you connect to the EAP it is similar to connecting to the router Wi-Fi.

You can change the network name and password to be the same as the rest of your network if you would like.

Here is how to log into the EAP: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1000/

Once you log in you can change the wireless network name to what you want:
