Is the AX1500 RE505X an AX Wi-Fi 6 device?
I just got an AX1500 RE505X Wi-Fi6 range extender to go with my AX11000. I have the RE505X in AP mode. In the RE505X wireless settings there are no AX options. Just A/N/AC. Where is AX? The AX11000 states AX in its wireless options. All of the literature and the box say AX. Why isn't it an option in the the device itself? I have the latest firmware installed on the RE505X. Is it hidden/automatic, or just not in the device yet?

The 5G should have AX, but not the 2.4G.
What is the firmware build you are running?
Do you happen to have a screenshot of what you are seeing?

@Tony Right, only 5GHz has AX. I am using RE505X(US)_V1_200310, the latest build. Here is a shot of the options on the device for the 5GHz radio. Only goes to ac, not even ad is listed. I tried connected 2 different AX laptops with it. I haven't gotten the full speed of AX yet, but close. It may just be the describtion, but it should indicate what is available. I am using the RE505X in AP mode.

Apparently the AX option is not available in AP mode so that would be why it is missing. Like you pointed out, you can only get a/n/ac while in AP Mode.

@Tony Is this something that will be fixed? It makes no sense that an extender you say has AX doesn't have it in AP mode. NO WHERE in the documentation does it say AX is dropped for AP mode. If it's in the device, why isn't it available? If this is not going to be fixed, let me know so I can return it and get my money back.

For clarification it does support AX, the issue with the UI is a bug that will be addressed soon so please do not get the impression it does not do AX.

@Tony I understood when it does and does not support AX, and it always should support AX. I hope you fix it soon. I've already returned it for a device that does AX in AP mode.

I've just opened a similar thread by mistake, since I had not found this one before, when I did a quick search.
I'm in the same situation as @grimmace . I've purchased this extender to use it as an access point. But, to my surprise, there is not an option to choose 802.11ax as a mode of operation, neither in the 2.4 GHz band nor in the 5 GHz one. It's shocking, since it's a WiFi 6 device. I'm using the latest firmware version: 1.0.7 Build 20200604 Rel. 130850 (6985).
Is it fixable by a change in the firmware? Or is it a limitation in the hardware? If it's the former, Is there an approximate date when it will be fixed? I've 15 days to return this product to the seller. Although I love the performance of this AP with 802.11ac STAs, I won't keep this device if there is no guarantee that such problem will be fixed.
Thank you.

To clarify: Does the RE505X support 802.11 ax (WIFI 6) in AP Mode?
I am running v1.08 firmware and the UI still does not include an option for WIFI 6.
