I'm looking to purchase an EAP245 and use it as an Extender. Is this possible? My scenario is to have it connect to my Router's wireless 5Ghz and broadcast a new SSID on the 2.5Ghz.
That would not be possible for the EAP units, you will need something like the RE450 instead. The EAP is designed to only work off of a wired connection that provides the internet.
