If your network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic, you may have to use a different method to access journal websites. One option would be to use a VPN service. Another option would be to use a web proxy.

  @tpndrcn

Encrypted DNS traffic refers to the use of the DNS over HTTPS (DoH) or DNS over TLS (DoT) protocols to encrypt the communication between a DNS client and a DNS server. If a network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic, it means that devices connected to that network will not be able to use DoH or DoT to resolve domain names. Instead, they will have to use traditional unencrypted DNS, which can make it easier for network administrators or third parties to monitor and intercept DNS queries.

It's possible that the network administrator might have done it for security or compliance reasons, or to prevent users from bypassing content filters or other restrictions on the network. Some organizations also block encrypted DNS traffic as a way to prevent employees from accessing certain websites or services.

However, it's worth noting that blocking encrypted DNS traffic can have negative effects on user privacy, as well as increasing the risk of DNS-related attacks such as DNS spoofing.
