AX3000 (TX50e) wifi 6 adapter slower than integrated wifi AC 9560
All,
I have FiOS gigabit service with a Verizon Wifi 6 router (G3100). My wired/ethernet speed is 940/800 and frequently comes out a little higher than that on speed tests. I have an Asus ROG Maximus XI wifi mobo with an integrated AC 9560 160 MHz wifi (802.11 ac). I was getting 390-405 down and ~330 up with the onboard wifi. I purchased the TP-Link TX50e assuming I would get even better wifi speeds than what was oboard my Asus mobo. Not the case at all. I disabled the onboard AC9560 and enable the TX50e (which shows as an AX200 for some reason). Anyway, I now get slower wifi speeds with this wifi 6 (about 190-250 down and 300 up). Very strange, I expected it to be at least the same, if not faster. I am thinking of returning the TX50e and just using my onboard wifi. Any thoughts? Are there any settings I can change to increase the speed with this TP-Link adapter???
Thanks.
