hi,

  I find that my Roku Soundbridge can play the mp3 files on the USB drive plugged in to my AX3000, but it cannot play the .m4a files. (The Soundbridge plays the same .m4a files from iTunes fine.)

Is this expected? The User Guide doesn't discuss audio file support.

thanks,

js.

@j03y_

Might want to Google "Roku Soundbridge .m4a". Seems Soundbridge might not play all, especially one purchased on iTunes?

Just a suggestion though, I don't use .m4a files, so I can't help you much more.

@IrvSp Thanks for your response, but my Roku Soundbridge has been playing my entire iTunes library - both mp3 and m4a - for 16 years, and so did my previous Cisco/Linksys EA4500 router's media server, for the past 8 years. It is only the AX3000 media server that isn't playing the m4a files. In fact, I just unplugged the USB drive from the EA4500 router and plugged in into the AX3000, and now the Soundbridge plays only the mp3 files, not the m4a files. The only thing that's changed in this equation is the media server itself, i.e. the AX3000.

Also, i've never purchased music from iTunes. The only reason i have .m4a files, is from ripping certain CD's in iTunes.

thanks,

js.

Like I said, I don't have your router.

On mine, I can see ALL files with the DLNA players I've used. However, I only use it for video's. All formats can be played, but not all Clients can play all.

I'd contact Support and see what they say about this?
