Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Archer MR600(EU)_V2_201203

While the option to manually pick which bands you want for 4G+ carrier aggregation is available on the router, this does still not lock the bands the particular way I would like. For example the router will still switch between B1+B1 and B1+B20 or in some cases B20+B20 or B20+B1. I want to be able to lock channel one to B1 and channel two to B20 and keep them locked to that. I believe this option was introduced to the MR600 V1 in an update so it would be nice to also have it on V2.

From the information I was able to get the v2 has the feature of band locking while the v1 requires a beta firmware to get that.

Additionally, there should have been a selection for band 1 and band 20 manually on the MR600, it is normal that it might work on band 1+band 1, band 1+ band 20, or band 20+ band 20, because it is the signal tower that decides whether and how to aggregate the bands.

@Tony So there is no way to get it to stay locked to B3+B20 all the time, it will just always switch between that and B3+B3 if both bands are selected manually?

You won't stay locked as the tower will dictate in the end what the device will end up being locked.
