Model: Archer A10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.5

Within the last week I've had frequent and brief internet disruptions (disconnects?)

If I'm browsing I will get the screen to go white and say it cannot connect or error messages on video streaming sites.  If I'm gaming I'll just get a long lag spike and then it will catch up.

This picture is a screenshot of two open browsers side by side but about 30 seconds in between them going.  One shows solid internet, then suddely I get nothing and cannot connect to a website.

What I've done:

- Power cycle modem and router

- Called ISP to check connection (of course they say its fine, its my router)

- Updated firmware

- Rolled back firmware

- Changed channels to less crowded space

- Restore factory settings

- Booted everyone off the router but one device

- Tested the speed and issues from multiple PCs and Smart Tvs (same results)

@Ooopsax

I guess to narrow it down a little the issues are more when trying to connect to a site or streaming service for the first time. It drops out or will load half the page then stop.  Then if you refresh it will finish figuring out how to get the rest of the traffic.

Edit:

Well I found a 10 year old Asus router and threw it in there. Problems solved. :(

So I at least know it is the router and not the ISP misleading me.  Back to troubleshooting.

@Ooopsax

Try modifying the WAN DNS servers to a different value like googles:

Primary 8.8.8.8

Secondary 8.8.4.4
