I updated the firmware on the tether app and now all my clients/devices have disappeared and I can't figure out how to get them back. I have like 25 devices that need to be conncected

Possible the router IP Address changed? Was 192.168.0.1 and after the update changed to 192.168.1.1? Wild guess, but that would do it. If not check the SSID name and password. Also go to one device and see it if sees the router and can logon?
Without knowing what the router settings were before (do you have a Backup you can restore of the settings?) and what it is know all one can do is guess.
