Hello!

Just a general question before I buy an tp-link extender:

-If I have smart-home bridge/hub connected to router (Archer C8 in my case), will smart bulbs work if they are connected to an extender via wifi? I am asking because SSID might be different, so I am not completely sure.

-And another question is, can I buy and AX extender, even though my router is only AC one? AX is just more future proof, so when I will have to change the router it will definitely be and AX one, so it's better to have an AX extender for that time I guess.

Forgot ot ask - maybe a powerline would be a better choice?

I need it for upper floor where I have many smart lights as well.

OR - if  buy for example RE605X extender and plug it into ethernet cable from a wall (I have this possibility in upper floor as well) and than use it as access point - than it will use same SSID as my main router or not?
