I just got my router and am wondering what the USB port on the back of the router id for. And, will it be compatable with my new Starlink system.

That,  linke in most routers are to support Hard Drives.

 

See the USER MANUAL @ https://www.tp-link.com/us/user-guides/archer-a7&c7_v5/usb-settings-us-4.0 and I don't even think it supports routers.

 

In addition, the External Hard drives have to be formatted properly, usually NTFS, and should be sellf-powered, not the type that draws power from the host.
