Model: TL-WPA8630P KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.2

I have a TL-WPA8630P V2 Kit. Can I use a WPA8631P connected to this kit?

Is there something to take care of or is just plug and connect just like a WPA8630P?

  @JFRIBEIRO,

From what I can tell, you should have no problems being able to connect it into your lines. They both operate using the HomePlug AV2 Standard.

One thing to keep in mind with the way that powerline networks operate: The ENTIRE powerline network will be slowed to accommodate the slowest device connected to the powerline network. That means that to upgrade your network, you have to replace all the nodes to receive the transmission benefits, and adding a slower device into the network, will actually slow the rest of the network down.

  @Riley_S

I already have the AV2000 Powerline Adapter - 2 Gigabit Ports (TL-PA9020P KIT). I recently moved and need another one. Would I be able to use the Powerline Ethernet Adapter Starter Kit - AV1000 (TL-PA7017 KIT) and connect it to my existing kit for gaming?

  @Riley_S

Thanks for your answer. I just bought the 8631, added it to the 8630 network and it works fine without any problem.
